The Home Equity Program is a unique neighborhood stabilization program from the State of Illinois, developed to insure property values for an extended time. The Home Equity Program is financed by a special levy on single through six-unit residential properties within the Home Equity District. We are governed by the State of Illinois, Home

We are governed by the State of Illinois, Home Equity Assurance Act.
We are one of 3 programs in Chicago. Our sister agency to the north is Northwest Home Equity Assurance Program

If we can help each Chicago home one-by-one, collectively we can continue to uplift our community together. A program like ours is only offered in 3 areas of Chicago. - You must be a homeowner and live in the district.
- The property assured must be your principal residence.
- The tax levy should appear on your real estate tax bill, "Under Miscellaneous Taxes" as "SW Home Equity Assurance Chgo."
Your property tax bill will indicate if, and which program you belong to.

We are proud to cover 11 community areas, 9 wards and 7 zip codes. Neighborhoods include Chicago Lawn/Marquette Manor, Gage Park, West Lawn, Clearing, Brighton Park, Archer Heights, Garfield Ridge, West Elsdon and parts of Ashburn, McKinley Park, New City and Scottsdale.

The second benefit we provide is through a partnership with Marquette and Hoyne Savings Bank. We offer a Home Improvement Loan Program - an innovative benefit exclusively for members. Members are eligible to apply for special zero-to low-interest loans to repair or remodel their homes. A home inspection is required within 6 months of clo
The second benefit we provide is through a partnership with Marquette and Hoyne Savings Bank. We offer a Home Improvement Loan Program - an innovative benefit exclusively for members. Members are eligible to apply for special zero-to low-interest loans to repair or remodel their homes. A home inspection is required within 6 months of closing on your loan. There are not any penalties if you pay back the loan early. Once paid, members can apply for another loan.
